There is a bit of confusion with regard to what our illumin8 technology does versus others. Much work has been done in the areas of compression and decompression. We’ve taken an entirely different approach. In fact, what we’ve done is change the focus of our software.
Our algorithms are not about compression so much as it is about not focusing on pixels, but focusing on objects; turning pixels into objects. And once we’ve done so, we can make decisions, in other words, rules based.
Dynamic decisions are made about the objects within the data stream. And therefore the results are the end of pixelation. Everything you see using our illumin8 technology, even when you zoom in closely, you won’t see a single pixel.
Additionally illumin8 gives us the ability to make decisions about what is an efficient way of delivering content. In other words the content you are interested in the most gets the highest priority, and therefore it streams to the recipient almost instantly in all cases. And that is a considerable departure away from other approaches, and compression is only a minor player in that equation.
